Saxophonist Ian Hendrickson-Smith (Uncle Cheef) brings a powerhouse band of NYC’s top shelf musicians to entertain you with high energy, fun and exciting Christmas themed jazz that will simultaneously make you wanna wiggle and challenge your intellect. Ian is a six time grammy award winner and currently plays saxophone on the Tonight Show with the Roots. He’s recorded/toured with: Amy Winehouse, Al Green, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Dr Lonnie Smith, Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, and many more. Joining us this evening is world renowned trumpet master, Jeremy Pelt! Pelt frequently performs alongside such notable ensembles as the Roy Hargrove Big Band, The Village Vanguard Orchestra and the Duke Ellington Big Band, and is a member of the Lewis Nash Septet and The Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band featuring Louis Hayes. As a leader, Pelt has recorded ten albums and has toured globally with his various ensembles, appearing at many major jazz festivals and concert venues.
