"DMZ" is a power trio of seasoned veterans that weaves a tapestry of unique soul and grooves like none other! Jerry Z is a Hammond B-3 organist known for soulful grooves, fiery solos and his unique, innovative approach to jazz/blues/funk. Emerging onto the New York City music scene in the 90’s, Jerry quickly became a sought after collaborator and performer, contributing his explosive Hammond B-3 sound to some of New York’s most influential and groundbreaking bands such as Oz Noy, Mike Clark, Melvin Sparks and many more. Acclaimed guitarist, composer and bandleader Bob DeVos has enjoyed over 50 years as an in-demand player. With long, blues-drenched melodic lines and a horn-like approach, he has a signature style of groove and sophistication. A master with a full, warm sound, in his formative years Bob toured and recorded with the giants of organ jazz–Trudy Pitts, Richard “Groove” Holmes & Sonny Stitt, Jimmy McGriff & Hank Crawford, and Charles “The Mighty Burner” Earland’s greatest band. Drummer Richie Morales is a versatile musician most recently touring with guitarist Al Di Meola. He has performed and recorded with a wide range of contemporary artists such as The Brecker Brothers, Spyro Gyra, Grover Washington Jr., Michael Franks, Mike Stern, Saxophonist Bill Evans, Diane Reeves, Stevie Wonder, Carly Simon, George Russell’s Living Time Orchestra, Gato Barbieri, Dave Valentin, Ray Barretto, and Herbie Mann. Doors 6:30pm / Sets at 7:30pm & 9pm / One ticket is valid for both sets, seating for the 9pm set is based upon availability 7:30PM SHOW TICKETS $15-$25
